Our green efforts
Carbon footprint tracking
Working with Climeet, we’re keeping track of monday.com's carbon footprint for events around the globe — across travel, catering, waste, and more.
Carbon offsetting projects
Once we understand our carbon footprint, it’s time to get offsetting. By registering for Elevate, you’ll help us choose between 3 initiatives to help offset our mark on earth.
Forest planting
We’re planting trees in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, home to 70% of Brazil's population, to help protect and restore this incredible ecosystem and the communities in this region.
Bamboo lanyards
Each attendee will receive a recyclable bamboo lanyard at the entrance of the event and will be able to recycle it in a dedicated bin as they leave.
Florals
All floral arrangements at the event will be donated to local womens’ shelters and hospitals to bring them sweet breathing air and a little cheer.
Menu selection
The event’s tasteful menu was chosen with potential carbon emissions in mind to limit our carbon footprint by limiting entrees like beef or pork.
Cutlery
We’re removing disposable utensils from each Elevate event. That means all coffee cups will be biodegradable and all serving utensils will be BPI certified as compostable.
Art & design
There’s a lot of exciting custom-built designs, signage, and attractions coming to Elevate. Even more exciting: they’ll all be reused or recycled after the events.
F&B donation & composting
Good food is a key ingredient to a good event so we’re donating leftovers to food banks, diverting food scraps from landfills to gardens, and only using compostable silverware.
Food & beverage menu
We prioritize in-season ingredients and work with local suppliers for all of our catering. The menu is curated around minimizing waste and using sustainably sourced ingredients.
Food & beverage waste
Our team is dedicated to separating and recycling all waste to their relevant centers, including plastic film and plastic bags, as well as other materials like metal, glass, and paper.
Printing
We’ve chosen a branding partner that’s certified by the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, as well as the Forest Stewardship Council and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
Waste diversion
We’re working closely with our partners to property sort and recycle waste, composting food scraps, donating event materials to local nonprofits, and creating eco-friendly set designs.
Reusable products & materials
We’re committed to not using plastic—from cutlery to art and from LED screens to signage—in order to cut waste and offer the most sustainable experience.
Printing
We went digital-first across the event. This includes printing nametags on eco-friendly paper only at registration for those who attend and lanyards made of recycled bottles.
Food
All food served was sourced locally in the UK, with a limit on dairy and meat items. Catering avoided plastic cutlery, offering silverware and a water cooler for bottle refills.
Production
We collaborated with Event Cycle to recycle, donate, and reuse all materials locally. Timber is certified FSC, decor is locally sourced, and we’re using low-energy lighting.
